My first day was long in coming. My April 7th due date came and went without any sign of me. It's a good thing, because just that next week Mommy and Daddy caught a nasty flu-like bug that knocked them out for the whole week. In fact, the night before my 10 am arrival, Mom headed for the hospital, with Grandma since Dad was feeling so bad. Dad showed up at 8am Tuesday morning with my big brother Kieran, just in time for my birth. Once I was ready, I was ready. It took Mommy only three pushes to get me out and I was ready for the world. I am an unassuming 7 lbs 11 oz, 20 and 1/4 inches, but I arrived with a mean sucker. My first day consisted of almost as much eating as sleeping. My parents call me the wiggle worm, due to the fact that I have continued my gymnastic ways from inside the womb. (I left Mommy with some uterine bruises due to all the running around I did inside her.)
